2026-06-08 10-48 PhD Dissertation Defense Held
On June 4, a regular meeting of the Academic Council under the Uzbekistan State World Languages University was held.
During the meeting, the dissertation of Georgiy Andreyevich Jakupov entitled “Morphonological Features as a Manifestation of the Fusional Nature of the Russian Language” was discussed. The dissertation was prepared for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philology in the specialty 10.00.04 – Language and Literature of the Peoples of Europe, America, and Australia.
The research provides a scientific and theoretical analysis of the morphonological system of the Russian language and its distinctive characteristics as a fusional language.
Members of the Academic Council discussed the relevance of the research, its scientific findings, and its practical significance. Following extensive deliberations, the dissertation was highly evaluated, and the candidate was recognized as deserving of the academic degree.
