2026-08-10 06-10 PhD Dissertation Defense in Philological Sciences Held at O‘zDJTU
On August 10, a dissertation defense was held at a meeting of the Academic Council under Uzbekistan State World Languages University. Ilkhomdjon Dilmurodovich Nishonov defended his dissertation entitled “The Image of the Civilization of the Future in the Works of William Gibson”, prepared for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philological Sciences under specialty 10.00.04 – Languages and Literature of the Peoples of Europe, America and Australia.
The defense was conducted both offline and via the ZOOM online platform, with the participation of members of the Academic Council, official opponents, and specialists in the relevant field. During the discussion, the relevance, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance of the dissertation were thoroughly considered.
The researcher answered questions related to the dissertation, and participants shared their views and comments on the main findings of the research.
At the conclusion of the event, the dissertation was successfully defended in accordance with the established procedure.
