2026-06-08 10-46 PhD Dissertation in Philology Successfully Defended
On June 4, a meeting of the Academic Council under the Uzbekistan State World Languages University was held in a hybrid format, both offline and via the Zoom online platform.
During the meeting, Viktoriya Sergeyevna Dvoryashina successfully defended her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) dissertation in Philology entitled “The Distinctive Features of the Travelogue Genre in the Works of John Steinbeck,” prepared in the specialty 10.00.04 – Language and Literature of the Peoples of Europe, America, and Australia.
During the defense, the scientific novelty of the research, as well as its theoretical and practical significance, were extensively discussed. The candidate’s presentation and responses to the questions raised by members of the Academic Council were positively evaluated and highly appreciated.
