Pre-Departure Meeting Held at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages

Today, the Rector of the university, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, held a meeting with faculty members and students who are departing for official visits to foreign countries.

The main purpose of the meeting was to familiarize participants, prior to departure, with the internal regulations of host countries, as well as the requirements and standards related to the educational process, and to encourage them to carry out their activities responsibly and purposefully.

As noted during the meeting, faculty members and students are traveling to the Republic of Korea within the framework of two international programs:

  1. Faculty members and students of the Department of Korean Philology of the Faculty of Oriental Philology will participate in a 74-hour professional development course and a short-term training program entitled “Methods of Teaching the Korean Language and Korean Culture” at Kyungdong University. Within this program, 18 faculty members and students will be sent to the Republic of Korea from December 27 to January 12, 2026.

  2. Students of the Faculty of English Philology, under the leadership of Dean Yu. Azzamov, will take part in a cultural exchange program based on a Memorandum of Understanding signed with Jeju National University. Within this program, 24 students and faculty members will be sent to Korea. The visit will last from December 27, 2025, to January 5, 2026.

It was emphasized that during the trip all participants should appropriately represent the honor of the university and the reputation of the country, and maintain discipline and responsibility in the international academic environment.

The meeting was also attended by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nosirov, Head of the International Cooperation Department Kh. Yuldashev, faculty deans, and representatives of the university administration.
