On September 26, the science Olympiad of foreign languages ​​(English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic) among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan was started at the Uzbekistan State World Languages ​​University.

 At the beginning of the opening ceremony of the republican science Olympiad of foreign languages, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov spoke and said that this Olympiad will help students studying foreign languages ​​in higher education institutions operating in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.  He emphasized that it will enable to demonstrate their knowledge, abilities, realize their talents, support talented young people in every way, and reward them appropriately, and congratulated all the participants on reaching the republic stage.

 After that, the rector of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University ​​I. Tukhtasinov gave a speech, gave information about the importance of the Olympiad and preparations for its holding, and wished all the participants good luck.

 Academic scientists, professors and teachers also took part in the event.  After the opening ceremony, the participants went to the first competition.

 The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov, together with the Rector of the University I. Tukhtasinov and guests, inspected the new facilities that have recently started operating at UzSWLU.

 In particular, they visited the "University Mall" shopping center and got acquainted with products bearing the university logo. They inspected the activities of the "Kulolman" pottery center, which was established to attract young people to entrepreneurship.  The officials also visited the "Edusmart" studio with the most modern equipment of the university and the museum, which was established in connection with the 75th anniversary of UzSWLU, and got acquainted with its activities.
