Scientific-practical conference.

On June 13, an international scientific-practical conference on the topic "Current issues of comparative philology" was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

This international scientific and practical conference was organized jointly with the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages and the Uzbekistan-German Scientific Society. In addition to the higher education institutions of our republic, about 100 professors and teachers, researchers and doctoral students from the higher educational institutions of the Federal Republic of Germany, Russia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria participated in the conference.

The conference was held on the basis of the following divisions:

1. Current issues of comparative linguistics (phonology, grammar, lexicology, phraseology and stylistics).

2. Current issues of comparative literary studies.

3. Current issues of translation studies.

4. Current issues of lexicography and terminology.

5. Current issues of intercultural communication and linguistic culture.
