On April 15, an international scientific and practical conference titled “Challenges of Globalization in Modern Linguistics and Their Solutions, Language Policy, and Linguistic Identity” was held at the Third Faculty of English at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
Within the framework of the conference, a number of sectional meetings were organized, where актуal issues of modern linguistics were widely discussed.
In particular, the first section, titled “Theoretical and Sociolinguistic Approaches,” featured scientific presentations on linguistic globalization and language diversity, the theoretical and practical foundations of modern language policy, as well as issues of linguistic and cultural identity. The session was moderated by Sonia Briget Baby.
The second section, organized under the theme “Applied Linguistics and Implementation of Language Policy,” focused on global approaches in comparative and applied linguistics, as well as mechanisms for implementing language policy in international and national education systems. The session was moderated by Dr. Giuseppe Chiaramonte.
International and local scholars активно participated in the sectional meetings, including Anthony J. Liddicoat, Michelle Bedeker, Sedigheh Shakib Kotamjani, Rebecca Reel, Shinoj Joy, Umida Boltayyeva, and other specialists, who delivered their scientific presentations.
During the event, participants engaged in productive discussions, leading to the development of important scientific conclusions regarding the challenges and solutions in modern linguistics.
