2026-10-30 12-18 STUDENT SAFETY AND DIGITAL LITERACY
Another practical seminar and training session dedicated to ensuring students' information security and protecting them from various harmful ideologies and cyber threats was held at the Faculty of International Journalism.
The event was organised under the leadership of D. Khoshimova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, with the participation of tutor S. Kholmurodov and representatives of relevant government authorities. The speakers provided detailed information on threats in the digital information environment amid ongoing globalisation, the prevention of cybercrime, and safe social media practices.
During the seminar, experts explained how to protect personal data online, avoid emerging forms of internet fraud, and make use of the “Safe Student” platform and the APK Qoriqchi application. Particular attention was paid to developing critical thinking when dealing with online scams and misinformation on social media, preventing legal violations, and promoting responsible information-sharing practices.
