On February 22, in order to organize students’ free time meaningfully and to increase their interest in theatre and art within the framework of the “Besh Tashabbus” initiative, Senior Lecturer N. Sadullayeva of the Department of Linguistics and English Literature at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University led talented undergraduate and master’s students of English Philology on a visit to the “Shams-i-qamar” Theatre.

During the visit, the students became closely acquainted with the theatre troupe’s creative activities. Before the performance, a roundtable discussion was held with the participation of the theatre’s artistic director Qamariddin Ortiqov, director Jamshid Valiyev, and actors Muxtor Asrorov and Shahboz Fayzullayev. Throughout the discussion, students received valuable insights into theatrical art, stage culture, and performance skills.

Afterwards, the mono-performance “Vasiyatnoma,” staged based on Nodar Dumbadze’s “It” and Jontemir Jondor’s “Igna,” was presented. The performance left a strong impression on the students, and following the show, they exchanged views on the content of the work and its stage interpretation.

This visit served not only as a cultural outing but also as a practical master class that enabled students to integrate their theoretical knowledge with performing arts practice.
