2026-05-14 10-27 On May 12, a meeting of the Scientific Council under the Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted the successful defense of the Doctor of Science (DSc) dissertation of Maxfuza Ravshanovna Artikova in the specialty 10.00.04 – Language and Literature of the Peoples of Europe, America, and Australia, entitled “The Linguopragmatic Aspect of Genre Characteristics of the Spanish Newspaper Language.”
The defense was conducted both in a traditional format and via the ZOOM online platform. Members of the scientific community, professors, researchers, and specialists took part in the event.
The dissertation analyzed the genre characteristics of the Spanish newspaper language from a linguopragmatic perspective and presented significant scientific conclusions regarding the communicative and stylistic potential of mass media language.
The results of the research were highly appreciated by the members of the Scientific Council, and the dissertation was successfully defended.
According to the decision of the Scientific Council, Maxfuza Ravshanovna Artikova was recommended for the award of the academic degree of Doctor of Philological Sciences (DSc).
