The First Stage of the “Student League” Sports Competitions Is Ongoing

On February 16 of this year, the university stage of the “Student League” chess competitions was held among male and female students of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

A total of 30 male and 50 female students competed for top honors in the tournament.

Each match was intense and highly competitive. As a result, the winners were determined as follows:

Among male students:
1st place — Inson Nurnazarov (Faculty of International Journalism);
2nd place — Muhammaddiyor Rahimjonov (Faculty of International Journalism);
3rd place — Jamshid O‘rolov (Faculty of International Journalism).

Among female students:
1st place — Ferangiz Muhammadova (Faculty of English Language 2);
2nd place — Gavharoy Shokirjonova (Faculty of International Journalism);
3rd place — Manzura Baratova (Faculty of English Philology).

The winners of this competition will represent the university at the Tashkent city stage of the “Student League” chess tournament.
