The “Five Initiatives Olympiad” Sports Competitions Officially Get Underway

The opening ceremony of the “Five Initiatives Olympiad” sports competitions among university students was held at Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

The event was attended by Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kungratbay Sharipov, rectors and first vice-rectors of higher education institutions, as well as student athletes.

The event was also attended by Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University; Valijon Sadiyev, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual and Educational Work; Elbek Ochilov, Associate Professor at the Department of Physical Culture and Sports; and student athletes of the university.

The “Five Initiatives Olympiad” competitions are held in the following stages:

Stage I — intergroup;

Stage II — interfaculty;

Stage III — regional;

Stage IV — national.
