2026-07-30 10-12 The III Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan Forum of University Rectors Has Commenced
On July 29, 2026, the III Uzbekistan–Kyrgyzstan Forum of University Rectors officially commenced in Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyz Republic.
The prestigious event is attended by Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University, and Bekzod Nishanaliev, Head of the Department for International Rankings.
During the opening ceremony, the Ministers of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.
Throughout the plenary sessions, the heads of higher education institutions of the two countries exchanged views on the ongoing reforms in higher education, achievements in the development of science and innovation, and promising initiatives aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Within the framework of the forum, university leaders are discussing the expansion of educational and scientific ties between the two fraternal nations, the implementation of joint scientific and practical projects, the development of academic exchange programs for students and faculty members, and the creation of new opportunities for young people through international educational programs.
In addition, bilateral meetings between higher education institutions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan are planned, along with the signing of memoranda and cooperation agreements.
