THE NEXT MEETING OF THE UZSWLU COUNCIL WAS HELD

On October 30, Meeting No. 2–3 of the Council of Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) was held. The meeting was chaired by the University Rector and Chairman of the Council, Professor Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov.

The agenda covered issues related to the university’s priority areas of activity, the quality of education, research activities, international cooperation, provision of student accommodation, occupational safety, and executive discipline.

Reports from the heads of relevant departments were heard on the agenda items. In particular, the results of activities over the first nine months of 2026 were discussed in the areas of international cooperation, attraction of international investments and grant funding, export of educational services, handling of appeals, and implementation of the university’s target performance indicators.

The meeting also reviewed the results of the “Rector’s Scholarship” competition, admission of foreign citizens for the 2026/2027 academic year, provision of student accommodation, the operation of the Office Registrator platform, and organization of professional training courses for final-year students.

Special attention was also paid to research activities. In particular, the meeting discussed approval of dissertation topics for doctoral students and independent researchers, recommendations for the publication of academic monographs, establishment of academic journals, implementation of innovative projects, and the creation of spin-off companies at the university.

In addition, the agenda included the recommendation of academic staff for the award of academic titles, consideration of candidates for academic department positions, as well as matters concerning the activities of the university’s academic lyceum and master’s programme division.

Following the discussions, relevant decisions were adopted on the agenda items, and responsible officials were assigned tasks to ensure the implementation of the established objectives.
