The rector of Al-Wadi University of Algeria met with students from Uzbekistan

On October 31, 2023, Dr. Umar Farhoti, Rector of Shahid Hamal Khizr University, met with the delegation of students from Uzbekistan of the Arabic Department of the Faculty of Languages and Literature. This meeting was organized in the form of a roundtable discussion.

The purpose of this meeting was to familiarize students with the study and living conditions of the university. At the meeting, the head of social and organizational affairs of the university, Jamal Quraysha, the vice-rector for international relations and cooperation and the dean of the faculty, Professor Dalal Vashan, the deputy for educational affairs, Dr. Nasir Dahdaha, the head of the department, Dr. Abdulaziz Misbahi, the vice-rector for scientific research and educational affairs, Dr. As- Siddiq Ma'ush and Dr. Bin Umar Abdurrahman, heads of two departments of English and French, and the secretary general of the faculty, Dr. Kholayif Abdulmalik, participated.

The rector of the university gave a speech and mentioned that it was very pleasant to meet eleven students from Uzbekistan and the responsible employee Aygul Umarova, a teacher of the department of Arabic language translation theory and practice of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

At the same time, the vice-rector of the university for international relations, Al-Habib, spoke about the development of the project of teaching Arabic to non-Arab students, raising the national rating of Al-Wadi University, and the wishes of Italian and Spanish students to study Arabic at Al-Wadi University.

Also, the vice-chancellor of the faculty for educational affairs, Dr. Nasir Dahdaha, noted that learning Arabic as a second language is of great importance for Uzbek students, that students are happy to learn Arabic, and that it gives them a high morale. He also spoke about the technologies of teaching reading, phonetics, grammar, puberty science, Arabic literature, oral speech, calligraphy, aruz, Qur'an and hadith.

At the end of the meeting, the rector of the university informed that he would organize large-scale entertainment trips for Uzbek students to learn more about the culture of Algeria and the people of Algeria.
