Uzbekistan State World Languages University Delegation Arrives in Spain and Participates in the First Uzbekistan–Spain University Rectors Forum
The delegation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, led by Rector Ilxomjon Tuxtasinov, has arrived in Madrid, Kingdom of Spain, to participate in the First Uzbekistan–Spain University Rectors Forum aimed at strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions of both countries.
The forum is being held from June 9 to 13 in Madrid and Barcelona, bringing together leaders of leading universities, representatives of educational organizations, and international experts to discuss prospects for cooperation in higher education, science, and academic mobility.

On June 10, the official opening ceremony took place at the Vicálvaro campus of Rey Juan Carlos University. The event was attended by Rector Abraham Duarte Muñoz, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Spain Farrux Tursunov, Rector of Westminster International University in Tashkent and Vice-President of IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence Komiljon Karimov, as well as representatives of the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education SEPIE.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Fatima Terol, who welcomed participants and expressed confidence that the forum would elevate cooperation between universities of Uzbekistan and Spain to a new level. This was followed by remarks from the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, who emphasized the importance of expanding educational and scientific cooperation as well as developing student and staff exchange programs.

Komiljon Karimov highlighted the importance of strengthening international academic cooperation, improving education quality, and expanding inter-university exchange of experience. The Rector of Rey Juan Carlos University emphasized broad opportunities for developing joint academic programs and research projects.
The delegation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University is actively participating in the forum sessions, meetings, and discussions, promoting the university’s initiatives in international cooperation.
