2026-06-26 09-08 UzSWLU Delegation Holds Strategic Meetings with Times Higher Education (THE) Leadership
On the third day of the THE Global Sustainable Development Congress 2026, held in Jakarta, the delegation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University conducted a series of strategic meetings with the leadership and senior representatives of Times Higher Education (THE).
During the discussions, the parties explored opportunities to expand the university’s participation in international rankings, enhance ranking performance indicators, implement modern data management and analytical mechanisms, and make effective use of new platforms and services offered by THE.
In particular, during the meeting with THE representative Abdullah Arslan, participants discussed the capabilities of the DataPoints platform, processes related to the collection and analysis of institutional data, and practical recommendations for maximizing the platform’s effectiveness.
In addition, negotiations with Tony Flaherty, THE’s representative responsible for partnership development, focused on strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan State World Languages University and THE, expanding the university’s engagement in international rankings, and exploring future joint initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meetings, representatives of THE were presented with commemorative gifts reflecting Uzbekistan’s national traditions on behalf of Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
These meetings marked an important step toward strengthening the university’s position in international rankings, learning from global best practices, and advancing international academic cooperation to a new level.
