UzSWLU Delegation Meets Nobel Laureate
As previously reported, representatives of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) are participating in the “Silk Road Universities Network 10th Assembly” conference held in Samarkand. In the afternoon session, the UzSWLU delegation held a series of fruitful meetings aimed at strengthening international educational cooperation.
The discussions during this panel proved especially meaningful for the UzSWLU delegation. Members of the delegation met with representatives of the Canadian University in Dubai to discuss prospects for expanding scientific and academic ties between the two universities.
During the dialogue, a warm and sincere conversation took place with Dr. Adam Fenech, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at the Canadian University in Dubai. Dr. Fenech is a renowned scientist known for his research in climate change and a member of the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) team awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached regarding Dr. Fenech’s short-term visit to UzSWLU to conduct seminars, masterclasses, and scientific presentations.
At the conclusion of the event, UzSWLU Rector, Professor Ilhomjon Tukhtasinov, presented Dr. Adam Fenech with commemorative gifts on behalf of the university. This symbolic gesture was accepted as a sign of friendship and mutual trust between the two institutions.
This meeting is an important step for UzSWLU to further enhance its international prestige, apply advanced foreign experience and innovative approaches to the Uzbek education system, and provide students with the opportunity to learn directly from globally recognized scientists.
The dialogue that began in Samarkand marks another bright chapter in the international educational field based on the values of science, cooperation, and friendship.
