UzSWLU Delegation Participates in Environmental Campaign within the Friendship Festival
As part of the “Friendship Festival” being held in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, a delegation from the Uzbekistan State World Languages University actively participated in the environmental campaign “Youth Protect the Aral Sea” organized in the Muynak district.
During the event, members of the delegation visited the renowned Ship Cemetery located on the dried seabed of the Aral Sea, as well as the Aral History Museum. The visit was attended by the Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, and the Director of the Nukus Branch of Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology, Aydar Esimbetov.

Throughout the visit, students gained detailed knowledge about the environmental challenges associated with the Aral Sea, the factors that led to its desiccation, and the impact of this ecological disaster on the region’s environment and communities. They also became acquainted with the history and present condition of the Aral Sea through museum exhibits and historical materials.
This environmental and educational initiative made a meaningful contribution to fostering environmental responsibility among young people, enriching their understanding of ecological issues, and encouraging support for nature conservation efforts.
