2026-07-03 11-23 UzSWLU Holds an Expanded Departmental Scientific Discussion of Another Doctoral Dissertation
On 2 July, Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) held an expanded departmental scientific discussion of another dissertation submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philology. The discussion was conducted in a hybrid format, both offline and via the ZOOM online platform.
During the session, participants comprehensively reviewed the dissertation entitled “Linguocultural Features and Lexicographic Interpretation of Jargon in English and Uzbek” prepared by Zamira Khurram qizi Hakimova under Specialty 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, and Translation Studies.
The discussion focused on the relevance of the research, its scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance, as well as the research methodologies applied in the dissertation. The author delivered a presentation outlining the objectives, content, and key findings of the study and provided detailed answers to the questions raised by the participants.
At the conclusion of the discussion, the relevant decision was adopted to recommend the dissertation for the next stage of the academic evaluation process in accordance with the established procedures.
