2026-09-29 01-43 UzSWLU Hosts Symposium Dedicated to the 5th Anniversary of DLL Cooperation
On September 28, Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted a symposium dedicated to the 5th anniversary of cooperation under the “DLL — Deutsch Lehren Lernen — Learning to Teach German” programme.
The event was jointly organized by the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Philology of UzSWLU, the Department of German Philology, and the Goethe-Institut in Tashkent.
The symposium was opened by Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, Rector of UzSWLU, who emphasized the importance of developing German language education in Uzbekistan, expanding international cooperation, and introducing modern educational approaches.
During the event, participants discussed current trends and prospects in German language teaching, the development of teachers’ professional competencies, advanced methodological practices, and international cooperation.
As a result of the activities carried out under the DLL programme since 2021, 10 professors and teachers of UzSWLU have completed professional development programmes in the field of DLL and obtained international certificates.
The event also addressed prospects for establishing a Goethe-Institut centre on the territory of UzSWLU. This initiative is aimed at creating new educational and professional opportunities for students and academic staff.
The symposium reviewed the results of five years of cooperation, with particular attention given to experience sharing and the promotion of new initiatives in the field of German language education.
