2026-10-30 11-45 UZSWLU RECTOR ATTENDS OFFICIAL RECEPTION MARKING THE NATIONAL DAY OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE
On 29 October 2026, an official reception was held at the Hilton Hotel in Tashkent to mark the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye — Republic Day (Cumhuriyet Bayramı). The event was organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Uzbekistan.
The Rector of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, attended the event together with representatives of the university's leadership. The reception was also attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives of state and public organisations, and professionals from various sectors.
The founding of the Republic of Türkiye is one of the most significant dates in the country's history and is celebrated annually on 29 October. This holiday plays an important role in strengthening the bonds of friendship and mutual cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, particularly in further developing ties in the fields of education and culture.
