UzSWLU Students Participate in Summer Educational Program in Japan
Students of the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages are participating in a summer educational program organized in cooperation with the Higashikawa Japanese Language School located in Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan.
For reference, the program is attended by 6 students from the Faculty of Oriental Philology of UzSWLU and 1 faculty member.
In addition to regular classes, students took part in a cultural event where they gained detailed knowledge about the history, types, cultural significance, and distinctive features of the traditional Japanese national attire — kimono.
During the practical part of the session, students had the opportunity to try on yukata, become familiar with Japanese traditional customs, and experience the rich cultural heritage of the Japanese people firsthand.
This cultural activity plays an important role in strengthening students’ knowledge of Japan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as promoting cultural exchange between the two nations.
