UzSWLU Students Return from International Internship in Algeria

From April 10 to June 11, 2025, 18 students from Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU), led by professors Ahmad al-Zubaydi and Aygul Umurzakova from the Department of Arabic Translation Theory and Practice, completed an internship at El-Oued University in the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. The purpose of the visit was to enhance their academic skills and explore Arabic culture firsthand.

Over the course of two months, the students studied at the Faculty of Language and Literature, receiving high-quality instruction from experienced faculty. Immersed in an Arabic-speaking environment, they practiced language skills and published articles in local outlets such as El-Jadid, Kaidnews, An-Nasr, and Al-Khabar.

In addition to their studies, students actively participated in the cultural life of Algeria and university events. They also took part in educational tours organized by the El-Oued University administration, gaining deeper insight into the rich historical heritage of the Arab world.

Classes were held at the Faculty of Language and Literature, while students resided in the “Hada Solih” dormitory, which met all necessary living conditions. The group expressed gratitude to the university administration for the opportunities provided.

At the conclusion of the trip, on June 13, UzSWLU Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, along with the faculty dean and department representatives, held a meeting with the students, where they shared their experiences, knowledge, and impressions. The rector emphasized the importance of continuing such international internship programs on a regular basis.
