2026-09-09 09-12 Visit of Representatives of Dalian University of Technology to UzSWLU
On September 8, 2026, a meeting was held at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (UzSWLU) with representatives of Dalian University of Technology (DUT), People’s Republic of China.
The meeting was attended by a delegation from Dalian University of Technology headed by Professor Dr. Xiang Chanle, Chairman of the University Council, as well as I. Tuxtasinov, Rector of UzSWLU, heads and responsible staff members of the International Cooperation Department and the Joint Educational Programs Coordination Department, and representatives of the Faculty of Oriental Philology.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to further develop cooperation between the two higher education institutions and implement joint projects in new areas.
In particular, the parties discussed reducing the Chinese language proficiency requirements for students enrolled in the joint educational programs established between the two universities, as well as the possibility of awarding graduates diplomas from both universities. Dr. Xiang Chanle stated that he would make efforts to resolve the issue of awarding dual diplomas and announced plans to organize additional intensive Chinese language courses for students enrolled in the joint programs.
The parties exchanged views on expanding student exchange and academic mobility programs, organizing summer and winter schools, short-term educational programs and training camps for students, as well as establishing internship opportunities for students at partner universities.
Particular attention was paid to the exchange of academic staff and researchers, the involvement of foreign specialists in Chinese language and philology in the educational process, the organization of professional development and internship programs for faculty members, and the delivery of lectures, practical sessions and master classes by invited professors.
As part of efforts to strengthen cooperation in research, the parties discussed prospects for jointly organizing international conferences, seminars, symposia and academic forums, as well as co-authoring and publishing research articles in high-ranking journals indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a Roadmap aimed at ensuring the consistent development of mutually beneficial cooperation, expanding ties in education and research, and putting the agreed initiatives into practice.
