2026-09-07 05-07 Welcome Ceremony Held for First-Year Students at the Faculty of Translation Studies of UzSWLU
Today, a solemn welcome ceremony for first-year students was held at the Faculty of Translation Studies of Uzbekistan State World Languages University.
University Rector Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov attended the event and sincerely congratulated the young students on the beginning of the new academic year. In his speech, the Rector emphasized the importance of making effective use of their university years, mastering foreign languages thoroughly, and continuously developing their knowledge and skills.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Translation Studies, faculty members, and students’ parents. Information was provided about the faculty’s activities, the educational process, the objectives for the new academic year, and the opportunities created for students.
At the end of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to first-year students who had been admitted to the university with the highest scores.
On the first day of the new academic year, students also took part in a “Future Hour” session on the first topic, “Together as One Homeland and One People, We Will Create a New Life and Future!”
During the session, students were introduced to the university’s classrooms, educational process, and available opportunities. They received essential information about university life, internal regulations, educational opportunities, and ways to make the most of their student years.
An open dialogue with students was also held during the session, allowing their views and suggestions to be heard. Particular attention was paid to fostering patriotism, enlightenment, responsibility, and an active civic position among young people.
