Winners of the "Ilhom" Award Competition Announced at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages

On April 15, the university stage of the "Ilhom" Award competition among students concluded at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, based on the order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

The competition aimed to foster students' interest in literature, study the lives and works of poets and writers, promote the translation of samples of national literature, and encourage academic and creative activity. Talented students of the university actively participated in the contest.

The event was attended by Valijon Sadiyev, the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, deans of faculties, department heads, and students. Participants highlighted the significance of the competition in nurturing patriotism, spiritual growth, and a love for literature among youth.

The winners of the competition were announced as follows: 1st place – Oguljeren Abajan qizi Xaldurdiyeva, 2nd-year student, Faculty of English Philology
2nd place – Rayhona Suhrob qizi Bahodirova, 2nd-year student, Faculty of English Language 1
3rd place – Ro’zaxon Fayzulla qizi Qalandarova, 4th-year student, Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology

Participants who translated literary works, conducted popular science research, or created stage and film productions were also recognized and will proceed to the next stage without a test.

Based on the results, the winners have been recommended to participate in the Republican stage of the "Ilhom" Award.
