Winners of the "Rector’s Cup" Sports Competitions Honored at UzSWLU

In celebration of the Day of Remembrance and Honor on May 9, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University held the “Rector’s Cup” sports competitions among professors, staff, and students.

The results of the competitions were as follows:

Football (male professors and staff):
1st place — Faculty of English Language II
2nd place — Faculty of English Philology
3rd place — Faculty of Translation Studies

Volleyball (female professors and staff):
1st place — Faculty of English Philology
2nd place — Faculty of English Language II
3rd place — Faculty of Romance-Germanic Philology

Football (male students):
1st place — Faculty of International Journalism
2nd place — Faculty of English Language II
3rd place — Faculty of English Language III

Basketball (female students):
1st place — Faculty of English Philology
2nd place — Faculty of International Journalism
3rd place — Faculty of Russian Philology

The awards ceremony for the winners took place on May 6. The university rector, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, along with other university leaders, took part in the event and presented commemorative gifts to the winning teams.
