“English Language and Literature” study programme at the University of Uzbekistan State World Languages has been established to address the critical needs for foreign language proficiency in Uzbekistan. The study program aims to focus on opportunities for the Uzbek citizens who have completed secondary school, academic lyceum or vocational school to pursue a first degree. The curriculum is designed to cater the needs to develop communicative competence, experience and skills within the framework of the established curriculum, focusing on producing high quality English teachers for the nation. University graduates of this program are prepared for careers as English teachers who have the potential to work in various professional settings, both locally and internationally.
