Introduction:
Uzbekistan State World Languages University(UzSWLU)recognizes
the importance of sustainabilityand climate actionin creating a better
future for our society and the environment.A san educational institution,we
have a responsibilityto promote sustainable practices and equip our
students with the knowledge and skills needed to address global challenges.
This policy outlines UzSWLU's commitment to sustainability and climate
action,providing a framework for integrating sustainable practices into our
operations,curriculum,and campus culture.
Objectives
The objective softhispolicy are to:

Scope
Thispolicyappliesto allactivitiesand operationsconducted by
UzSWLU,including butnotlimited to campus operations,curriculum
development,research,communityengagement,andprocurement.

measures,suchasoptimizingbuildingsystems,usingrenewableenergy
sources,andpromotingenergyconservationpractices.b.Wewilladopt
sustainablewastemanagementpractices,includingrecycling,composting,
and reducing single-use plastics. c. UzSWLU will prioritize water
conservationefforts,includingtheinstallationofwater-efficientfixtures,
rainwater harvesting systems,and educationalcampaigns to raise
awareness aboutwaterconservation.d.We willpromote sustainable
transportationoptions,suchasencouragingtheuseofpublictransportation,
providingbike-sharingprograms,andincentivizingcarpooling.

MonitoringandReporting
UzSWLU will establish SustainabilityCommittee responsible for
monitoring the implementation of this policy,setting targets,and reviewing
progress regularly.
UzSWLU will conduct periodic sustainability audits to assess our
performance,identify areas for improvement,and ensure compliance with
relevant regulation sand standards.
UzSWLU willregularlycommunicateoursustainabilityeffortsand
achievementstotheuniversitycommunity,stakeholders,andthepublic.
ContinuousImprovement
