Information about the Department of History of Uzbekistan
The Department of "History of Uzbekistan" conducts its activities based on the Decrees of the President of our Republic on education, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the University Council, as well as the tasks specified in the "Law on Education" and paying special attention to the quality level of education.
The department "History of Uzbekistan" first started its activity in the former Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages in 1948. In 1978-1999, the department was headed by Doctor of History, Professor Jasuzak Kalimbetov.
From September 1999 to May 2012, the "History of Uzbekistan" department was headed by Doctor of History, Professor Bobojonova Dilorom Bobojonovna. From May 2012 to August 2013, the department was headed by candidate of historical sciences Bahadir Nig'matullayevich Isokov, and from the 2013-2014 academic year until now, associate professor Nilufar Dalibaevna Djurayeva has been managing the department.
The Department of "History of Uzbekistan" has a potential place in the university. The subject of "Social, economic processes, source studies, historiography and methods of historical research in Uzbekistan" has been defined as the direction of scientific research of the department. All the research works carried out in the department are carried out within this direction.
In recent years, among the members of the "History of Uzbekistan" department, candidates of science have been regularly produced every year, making a worthy contribution to the scientific potential of our republic. Most of them are young people. In 2000, O. Masaliyeva, in 2001, M. Tojiboyev, in 2002, S. Saburova, in 2003, S. Davletov, in 2004, N. Djurayeva, in 2005, S. Mahkamov, in 2008, N. Bobojonova, and in 2010 In 2020, B.N. Isakov received the scientific degree of candidate of historical sciences, and in 2020, N.O. Toliboyeva received the scientific degree of doctor of philosophy (PhD) in historical sciences.
Also, among the researchers attached to the department, D. Sobirova (AnSU) in 2008, L.M. Sobirova (Uzteleradiokompania) in 2009, O.O. Shikhov (UrSU) in 2011, S. Ruziyeva (AnSU), M. Boltabayeva (UzNU) were nominated in 2020. defended their dissertations.
In 2004, Doctor of History D.Bobojonova received the title of professor, in 2007 S.Mahkamov, in 2014 N.Djurayeva, in 2018 O.Masaliyeva received the title of associate professor. B. Isakov, N. Toliboyeva, N. Bobojonova are working as associate professors. D. Bobojonova has trained 15 candidates of science and is the scientific supervisor of many more researchers.
There is a curriculum of the subject "The most history of Uzbekistan" taught in the department based on the decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, orders of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and other documents, as well as the requirements of state standards. Today, 9 professor and teachers working in the department conduct lectures and practical training on this subject.

The University Information Resource Center has sufficient and complete literature on the subject "Newest History of Uzbekistan".
Scientific-methodical work is well underway at the department. There is a plan of scientific and methodological work for 2022-2023. Scientific and methodological works are organized on the basis of the general topics of the department: "Place of Uzbekistan's history in world civilization", "Interethnic relations in Uzbekistan", "Socio-economic and cultural processes in Uzbekistan", "Demographic processes in Uzbekistan".
In the department, Ph.D., Professor D.B. Bobojonova ("Guidebook "Socio-Economic Relations in Uzbekistan", "Spiritual and Educational Revival and Reforms in the Education System in Uzbekistan"), Ph.D., Associate Professor N.D. Djurayeva ("Treatment to Women in Uzbekistan" and "In the History of Uzbekistan" the educational manual entitled "The social status of women", the educational manual entitled "The policy of the Soviet authorities in Uzbekistan, its essence and consequences (in the example of the treatment of women in the 20s-30s of the 20th century)" and t.f. The members of the department have been effectively using the educational and methodological works of O. Masaliyeva ("History of social work in Uzbekistan")
Professors-teachers of the department carry out educational work in an integral way with scientific-research work. In recent years, they have published educational manuals and brochures, many scientific articles and theses. Professors-teachers of the department actively participate in republican scientific journals, international conferences, republican scientific-practical conferences and university-wide scientific conferences.
Professors and teachers of the department have been improving their skills at the regional training center under UzMU.
The members of the department carry out spiritual and educational work, expressing the current issues of education, most importantly, the issues related to educating students in the spirit of love for the Motherland, as highly spiritual individuals.
Members of the department are actively involved in a number of public works. Currently, the head of the department, Ph.D., associate professor N.D. Djurayeva, the chairman of the University Women's Advisory Council, Prof. D.Bobojonova, Ph.D., are carrying out educational work as the chairman of the University's Parents' Council.
Also, D.Bobojonova, N.Djurayeva, N.Toliboyeva have been actively participating in TV programs such as " Historical Question" and "Theme" on the History of Uzbekistan TV channel.
In general, the members of the "History of Uzbekistan" department actively participate in the process of improving the quality of education, educational, scientific-methodical and spiritual-educational work at the university. However, there are still important and urgent issues that need to be done and are waiting for their solution. In their implementation, each member of the department is required to work diligently, conduct continuous research on himself, and feel responsibility for his work. It can be said that the members of the department have enough opportunities to fulfill these assigned tasks and they use these opportunities effectively. 07.00.01 at the department under the Scientific and Methodological Council of UzDJTU. - The Coordinating Council operates on the approval of dissertation topics of basic doctoral students, doctoral students, independent researchers, intern-researchers-researchers studying the history of Uzbekistan. Currently at university 07.00.01. - 2 (N.Safixodjayeva , B.Tojiyev) basic doctoral students and 3 (M.Bazarova, A.Nomozov, F.Xojiyev) independent researchers are conducting scientific research on the history of Uzbekistan.
