Department of linguistic supply of intercultural communication
The Department of linguistic provision of intercultural communication was established on the basis of the Faculty of international journalism in accordance with the decision of the Council of the State University of World Languages of Uzbekistan dated August 29, 2021.
Head of the department: doctor of philological sciences, professor Teshabayeva Dilfuza Muminovna.
In the academic year 2024-2025, the Department of linguistic provision of Intercultural Communication operates 15 professors and teachers in the main state.
Faculty of international journalism by teachers of the Department 60230400 - linguistic supply of intercultural communication (English) and 60320200 - Information Service and public relations directions 1, 2, 3, 4 students; 60320100 – Journalism (International Journalism) direction 1, 2 and 3 students; Political Science stage 3; 60310200 - international relations, 60310400-Sociology and 60230100-philology and language training (Russian language) areas of study for students of the 1st stage.

The Department of linguistic provision of intercultural communication has 2 doctors of Sciences and 1 candidate of Sciences in the main state; 1 doctor of Sciences and 4 candidates of Sciences on a bench basis, and today the total scientific potential of the department is 35%.
The main areas of scientific research are defined as medialinguistics, linguistics, linguopragmatics, linguodidactics, methodology, sociolinguistics, corpus linguistics, intercultural relations. Centers “Medialinguistics”, “English” and “Spanish language and culture” were organized under the Department.
The department paid special attention to increasing its scientific potential and protecting the scientific research work of professors and teachers. Professors and teachers of the department are actively participating in international high impact factor journals, journals included in the OAK list of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as in international and Republican conferences with their scientific articles and theses.
In addition, the department has managed to hold international and Republican conferences at a high level several times during its activities.

- Republican scientific and practical conference on "current issues of linguistics and linguodiactics in the aspect of intercultural communication" on may 26, 2022;
-International scientific and practical conference on “modern trends in the development of Medialinguistics” on April 29, 2022
- Republican scientific and practical conference on “Medialinguistics, linguodidactics and intercultural communication: theory and practice " on November 21, 2023;
- On November 14, 2023, “Media. Language and culture. Student scientific and practical conference on "translation";
-International scientific and practical conference on “Mediacommunication: language policy and Culture” on April 24, 2024;
- Republican scientific and practical conference on "problems of language, editing and translation in Mediamakon" on may 29, 2024
successfully conducted and electronic kits were prepared.
As part of the cooperation work with foreign institutions, memorandums were signed with the University of Silesia, located in Katowice, Poland, as well as Sultan Idris universities, located in Tanjong Malim, Malaysia. On the basis of cooperation, the work of training of teachers of the Department abroad, participation in short-term trainings, mutual Academic Exchange has been established.
The professors and teachers of the Department have established new literature in order to share their knowledge and competency, to create new resources that meet the requirements of the time. Members of the Department have owned more than 20 textbooks, teaching aids, teaching methodical manuals and monographs to date.
