History of the Department: The Department of Ecology and Green Resources was established on January 30, 2025 (6th Protocol) by the order of the rector of the university as part of the Faculty of Translation.

Research Areas of the Department: The department conducts research on the scientific study of “Bioecology of soils in Uzbekistan and agro-technical methods of crop cultivation” and “The importance of a healthy lifestyle in ensuring life safety.”

The department is equipped with curriculum standards (DTS), study plans, and sample programs for bachelor’s degree courses. The university's Information Resource Center ensures sufficient and complete provision of printed and electronic literature for all courses offered by the department.
Scientific and Methodological Activities: The department has a well-established system for scientific and methodological work. A scientific-methodological work plan for the 2024-2025 academic year has been developed. The department’s teachers use modern interactive methods, visual tools, and video and audio materials in their teaching and conduct highly engaging independent lessons.
Academic and Scientific Publications: The faculty regularly publishes textbooks, monographs, educational and methodological manuals, scientific articles in international and local journals, and abstracts at national conferences. They are also engaged in government assignments related to food safety, high crop yields, and soil fertility.
Ecology Research Institute: An “Ecology” Research Institute has been established under the University of World Languages. The main goals of the Institute include writing and publishing monographs, textbooks, scientific-methodological articles, opening doctoral programs in ecology, and providing expert opinions on dissertations in ecology and biology.
Faculty Development: The department’s faculty members regularly enhance their qualifications at regional professional development centers at UzMU and TDTU according to the established plan.
Contribution to Social and Cultural Activities: Faculty members are actively involved in the university’s spiritual and educational activities. They joined the "Green Space" initiative and established an olive grove on the campus. Their efforts aim to foster students’ respect for the homeland, family, teachers, science, and the environment, while instilling responsibility for their health and safety.
