The Information Resource Center, in the course of its activities, ensures the implementation of such normative legal acts as:

  • Laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Decrees and Resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers, Orders of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation: 
  • Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 30, 2022 No. 552 and Order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2022 Decree No. 371 “On amendments and additions to the adopted normative legal acts concerning information and library activities":
  • "Regulations on the accounting of information and library resources in information-the resource center and the procedure for checking the fund in the information resource center":
  • "Regulations On the Procedure for storing information and library collections of the information resource center":
  • "Regulations on the procedure for deducting information and library resources from the funds of the information and resource Center":
  • "Rules for using the information and resource center of the Uzbek State University of World Languages":
  • "Regulations on the electronic library of the UZGUM Information and Resource Center" in 2011:
  • "Regulations on providing the information and resource center of the Uzbek State University of World Languages with artistic, popular science and spiritual and educational literature" in 2018:
  • resolutions of the University Council and orders of the Rector's office.

 

The Information Resource Center has a stock of 597,496 copies.

Textbooks number 11,9674 copies, teaching aids 178,448 copies, scientific literature 30,647 copies, nonfiction 116,258 copies, and supplementary literature 152,469 copies. 
Languages \ u200b \ u200bof: 153,594 copies of literature in Uzbek, 443,902 copies in foreign languages.

For the year 2024, 304 copies of subscriptions were organized in 44 names for Republican-Time press publications.

In our republic, there are 516 copies of candidate and doctoral dissertations and 2,818 copies of authorizations, defended from 1952 to this day.

Electronic copies of literature have been made available in 1,100 titles as well as the Irbis 64 electronic catalog, which describes literature in 50,000 titles.

Web of Science, EBSCO, Springer Nature, and Pivot-RP, which feature scientific journals and e-learning literature, provide access to international scientific and educational databases.

There are 85 titles of audio to blind and visually impaired students and 149 copies of Louis Braille literature, each with audiodiscs.

The Information Resource Center serves 23,858 readers. Of these, 22,162 are students, 1,006 are professors and 690 are employees.

The UzSWLU Information and Resource Center (ARM) provides literature for readers to use at home from their subscribers in 4 regions of Tashkent.
ARM study halls also operate in student residences 1-2-3-4.

The Information Resource Center has 6 study halls with 700 seats with an open foundation containing 40,767 copies of literature. There are 5 111-seat electronic libraries operating, equipped with modern computers.

Out of this:

2 10-seat discussion rooms to strengthen foreign language knowledge and language skills;
the 36-seat conference hall, which provides opportunities for students to grow spiritually rich and competently creative, provides important dates and facilities for holding interesting events and trainings such as meetings, presentations, discussions of works dedicated to the life and work of famous people;
Korea Corner study hall with 532 copies of literature, which has all the facilities organized by the cooperation of the embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Uzbekistan and promotes Korean culture, Korean language learning among student-youth;
Information Resource Center website for user convenience and remote service https://uzlib.uz/ and the official channel "Telegram" https://t.me/uzlibuz operates.
All services are provided to the population, except for carrying literature home;

The Information Resource Center operates Monday-Friday from 8:30-22:00 and Saturday from 8:30-17:00.
