Since 1985, the UNESCO General Conference has been held in France, and in preparation for the 43rd session, which is planned to be held for the first time in Samarkand, the delegation of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) visited Argentina to strengthen cooperation with the most prestigious foreign universities. On April 21, they visited the Universidad Nacional Mar de Plata (UNMdP).

The visit began with a meeting between representatives of the two universities.

During the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation in the fields of science and education was signed by Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, Rector of UzSWLU, and Alfredo Remo Lazzeretti, Rector of UNMdP.

The following areas for effective cooperation were agreed upon:

• UzSWLU will support cooperation in the scientific and educational fields, assist Argentine students in learning about the culture and language of Central Asia, including our country;

• Strengthening ties between the two universities through student and faculty exchanges;

• Providing students with the opportunity to get closer acquainted with the educational systems of other countries through the organization of short-term courses and summer schools;

• Joint research projects between UNMdP and UzSWLU to strengthen international scientific collaboration in linguistics, journalism, sustainable development, and other fields;

• Plans to conduct scientific studies on the similarities and differences between the languages of Central Asia and Latin America.

Additionally, both universities agreed to organize special festivals, exhibitions, and conferences related to the cultures of Argentina and Uzbekistan to strengthen communication between students and teachers.

As is well known, the Uzbekistan State World Languages University (UzSWLU) has made a significant contribution to the development of international linguistics, translation, language studies, and international communication, and is one of the leading educational institutions in Uzbekistan for teaching foreign languages.

The development of scientific and educational cooperation between Universidad Nacional Mar de Plata (UNMdP) and the Uzbekistan State  World Languages University (UzSWLU) will be mutually beneficial for both sides.
