A creative exchange-filled meeting took place at the Faculty of International Journalism
The Faculty of International Journalism at Uzbekistan State World Languages University hosted a creative meeting with prominent professionals in the field. Participants included Aziza Qurbonova, a representative of the Press Service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan; G’ayrat Qurbonov, Chief Editor of the "Yoshlar" TV channel of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan; Nodir Shamsiddin, Senior Editor of "Yoshlar"; and Xayriddin Murod Abdulfayzov, Literary Secretary of the "Yangi O‘zbekiston" newspaper.
During the event, guests spoke in detail about current trends in the development of mass media in Uzbekistan, new directions in journalism, the importance of speed and accuracy in information, professionalism in preparing materials, and shared their experiences working in editorial offices.
Aziza Qurbonova provided an overview of the operations of the Presidential Press Service, emphasizing the responsibility and caution required when preparing and distributing official information. G’ayrat Qurbonov and Nodir Shamsiddin shared their experiences with young journalists on modern approaches in television, innovations in content creation, and the intricacies of producing reports and programs. Xayriddin Murod Abdulfayzov highlighted the significance of literary editing in the press and shared tips on improving style and quality.
At the end of the event, students asked questions of interest and received practical advice from seasoned professionals. The meeting enriched students not only with theoretical knowledge but also helped enhance their practical skills.
