On April 1, a delegation of Uzbekistan State World Languages University visited one of Georgia’s leading private higher education institutions — the University of Georgia.
The university holds strong positions in the QS international rankings, being listed among the Top 100 in Europe in Business, Top 200 in technical fields, and Top 300–400 in social sciences.

The meeting was attended by the university’s Rector, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Vice-Rector for Research, and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The parties discussed the establishment of a Georgian Language Center at UzSWLU, the introduction of Georgian language instruction, the implementation of student exchange programmes, and the development of academic cooperation.
Konstantin Topuria, Rector of the University of Georgia, expressed his readiness to support cooperation in all areas. In turn, UzSWLU Rector I. Tuxtasinov put forward proposals on organizing summer camps for students, expanding cooperation in the field of scientific research, and launching joint educational programmes. The Georgian side warmly welcomed and supported these initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum aimed at strengthening mutual cooperation.
