A Dissertation Research Defense Discussion Was Held

On April 17, a scientific seminar discussion of the dissertation by Orzubek Rakhmanovich Anarbayev in the specialty 10.00.06 — Comparative Literature Studies, Contrastive Linguistics, and Translation Studies was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University.

The event was organized both in offline format and via the ZOOM online platform.

During the discussion, the dissertation submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philology entitled “Specific Features of Translating Compound Words from English into Uzbek (Based on Newspaper Corpus Materials)” was thoroughly reviewed.

During the scientific seminar, participants expressed their views on the relevance, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance of the research. It was particularly noted that the study focuses on the specific features of translating compound words, especially based on newspaper corpus materials.

At the end of the meeting, relevant recommendations were given for improving the dissertation, and the issue of its recommendation to the next stage was discussed.
