A Dissertation Was Discussed at a Scientific Seminar

On March 5, 2026, a scientific seminar on dissertation research was held at Uzbekistan State World Languages University in an offline format as well as via the Zoom online platform.

During the seminar, the dissertation of Sadbarg Mirolimovna Jumayeva was discussed. The dissertation was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogical Sciences in the specialty 13.00.02 – Theory and Methods of Education and Upbringing (English Language) and is entitled: “A Text-Based Approach to Teaching Phraseological Units to Students Learning a Foreign Language.”

At the seminar, a detailed presentation was delivered on the relevance of the research, its aims and objectives, scientific novelty, and practical significance. The dissertation highlights the methodological aspects of using a text-based approach in effectively teaching phraseological units to students learning a foreign language.

The reviewers also shared their comments and opinions on the dissertation, emphasizing its scientific and practical value.

During the seminar, participants raised questions concerning the dissertation and offered suggestions and recommendations. A thorough discussion was also held on the research findings.
