On April 9, 2026, a meeting titled “Minister and Youth” was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University with the participation of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kongratbay Avezimbetovich Sharipov.

This event was organized in accordance with the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, designating every Thursday as “Youth Day.” At the university, such meetings are held regularly every Thursday.

The event was opened by the university rector, Ilkhomjon Madaminovich Tuxtasinov, who spoke about the opportunities being created for students and youth, as well as reforms aimed at supporting youth sports.

During the meeting, Minister Kongratbay Avezimbetovich Sharipov elaborated on state youth policy, sports development, future professions, the importance of learning foreign languages, integration of education with practice, and the conditions created for young people and their effective use. He also provided explanations regarding state grants, international scholarship programs, funding for research projects, and opportunities for studying abroad.

The event was held in an open dialogue format: students actively participated by asking questions of interest and received comprehensive answers from the minister.

The meeting was of particular importance, as it contributed to expanding educational opportunities for students, encouraging scientific and academic activity, and fostering thoughtful planning of their future careers.
