A Meeting Was Held at UzDTU with an Associate Professor from Azerbaijan University of Languages

On April 10th, a meeting was held at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages with Associate Professor Jeykhun Aliyev Kurbanaliyevich from Azerbaijan University of Languages.

The meeting was attended by the Rector of Uzbekistan State University of World Languages, Ilkhomjon Tuhtasinov, the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation A. Nasirov, the Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, and the Chair of the Pedagogy and Psychology Department D. Jo'rayev.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:

• Establishing the "Azerbaijani Language and Culture Center" at Uzbekistan State University of World Languages in collaboration with the Azerbaijani Embassy in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan University of Languages;

• Introducing Azerbaijani as a second foreign language at UzDTU starting from the 2025/2026 academic year and involving qualified specialists from Azerbaijan University of Languages in this process;

• Attracting Azerbaijani citizens to study in the undergraduate and graduate programs at UzDTU, emphasizing that they previously studied mainly in Turkey and Russia, but now it is necessary to direct them to Uzbekistan;

• Inviting professors from Azerbaijan State University to UzDTU to deliver lectures and hold seminars;

• Discussing the opportunity for UzDTU professors to visit Azerbaijan State University to deliver lectures, conduct practical classes, and participate in professional development and training programs.

The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere. The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in the future.
