On May 6, an official meeting was held at the rectorate of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University with distinguished Pakistani scholars.
The Pakistani side was represented by Mushtaq Ahmad, Academician of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences in Biodiversity and Bioenergetics, and Shazia Sultana, Professor of Biodiversity and Ecology at Quaid-i-Azam University in Islamabad. Representing UzSWLU were Rector I. Tukhtasinov, Head of the International Cooperation Department X. Yuldashev, Dean of the Faculty of Translation Studies U. Yuldoshev, Head of the Department of Ecology and Green Resources X. Khushvaqtova, and Professor of the same department D. Yormatova.

During the meeting, the participants discussed important areas of cooperation, including conducting joint scientific research, publishing co-authored articles in prestigious indexed academic journals, exchanging experience in developing new plant varieties, and organizing conferences, seminars, and training sessions dedicated to current environmental issues, as well as actively participating in them.
The parties also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest and outlined prospects for future cooperation.
