“A PATH TO THE FUTURE THROUGH FOREIGN LANGUAGES”: UZSWLU CENTER FOR FOREIGN LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT AND TEACHING ALSO OPENS IN SHAYKHANTAHUR DISTRICT

Activities under the initiative of Uzbekistan State World Languages University, carried out under the slogan “A Path to the Future Through Foreign Languages,” are continuing. The initiative aims to increase school students’ interest in learning foreign languages, develop their knowledge and practical skills, and promote the wider implementation of modern teaching methods.

On October 21, another opening ceremony for the Center for Foreign Language Development and Teaching of Uzbekistan State World Languages University was held at General Education School No. 41 in Shaykhantahur District.

The event was attended by university representatives led by the rector, Professor Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov, as well as members of the school community. The guests were welcomed at a formal ceremony, followed by the ribbon-cutting at the newly renovated and modernly equipped classroom where the center is based.

University representatives spoke about the center’s goals and objectives, the use of modern approaches to foreign language teaching, the development of students’ language proficiency and communication skills, and the importance of strengthening cooperation between the school and the higher education institution. It was emphasized that the center would provide students with additional opportunities to study foreign languages in greater depth and apply their knowledge in practice.

Sanobar Turgunovna Talipova, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at General Education School No. 41 in Shaykhantahur District, also highlighted the importance of the center’s opening in improving students’ knowledge and strengthening their interest in learning foreign languages.

During the event, an introductory meeting was held with volunteers from the school and the university. They shared information about their activities, learning plans, and innovative methods used in foreign language teaching.

To support the further development of the center and provide students with additional learning opportunities, the university presented the school with a collection of modern international textbooks, workbooks, and innovative teaching materials. These resources, donated by university representatives, will support students’ independent learning and help them acquire foreign languages more effectively.

The opening of the center at School No. 41 in Shaykhantahur District marks another step in the initiative to expand cooperation between UzSWLU and general education schools, help students gain a strong command of foreign languages, and broaden their future educational opportunities.
