On January 30, a regular scientific-theoretical seminar was organized at the Department of World Literature of the Uzbekistan State World Languages University for the department’s doctoral students and independent researchers. In order to ensure convenience for doctoral students, the seminar was conducted both offline and online via the Zoom platform. The seminar was opened by Professor of the Department of World Literature, F. D. Sapaeva.
At the seminar, first-year independent researcher Oljayeva Shahzoda delivered a paper entitled “The Representation of the Existential Hero in European and Uzbek Literature (based on the works of William Golding, Albert Camus, Ulugbek Hamdam, and Nazar Eshonqul).” In addition, first-year independent researcher Aydaraliyeva Malohat participated with a presentation on her scientific research titled “The Artistic Interpretation of the Relationship between Women and Society in 20th-Century American and Uzbek Short Stories (based on the works of W. Faulkner and Cholpon).”
Furthermore, during the seminar, the department’s doctoral students presented reports on their ongoing research projects and exchanged views on topical issues. It was emphasized that the suggestions and comments expressed during the discussions would serve as an important methodological guideline for the participants’ future scientific research.
