A Roundtable Discussion on “We Are Supporters of a Healthy Lifestyle” Was Held
Today, a roundtable discussion was organized at Uzbekistan State World Languages University to promote a healthy lifestyle among students and to raise awareness about the prevention of HIV infection. The event was held under the theme “We Are Supporters of a Healthy Lifestyle.”

The roundtable discussion was opened by First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work Valijon Sadiyev. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of awareness-raising activities aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, protecting students’ health, and preventing various diseases.
The event was attended by staff members of the university’s Medical Department — Zilola Mamasidiqovna Azimbayeva and Nigora O‘ralboyevna Abdusattorova — who provided students with detailed information about HIV infection, that is, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. The specialists explained the modes of transmission, risk factors, and preventive measures, as well as the possibilities of keeping the virus under control with the help of antiretroviral therapy.

In addition, a “Meeting Between Leadership and Youth” was organized as part of the event, during which First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work Valijon Sadiyev held an open dialogue with students. During the meeting, students directly voiced their concerns and proposals and actively participated in discussions on the educational process, meaningful organization of free time, and support for youth initiatives. At the end of the discussion, further steps were identified to address the issues raised.
At the conclusion of the event, students received detailed answers to their questions from the specialists and from Vice-Rector Valijon Sadiyev.
