A Spiritual and Educational Event Titled “Readers’ Competition” Held

On January 19, 2026, an event aimed at developing students’ reading culture and increasing their interest in reading was held at Secondary School No. 280 in Tashkent City, under the jurisdiction of the Chilonzor District Department of Public Education.

The event was organized and conducted at a high level by Ravshan Saidov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Practical Aspects of the English Language, Faculty of English Philology, Uzbekistan State World Languages University, together with teachers Dilnoza Usmanova, Dilfuza Iskandarova, and Aziza Ziyadullayeva.

Within the framework of the event, special attention was paid to enhancing students’ interest in reading books, developing skills in understanding and analyzing literary texts, identifying main ideas, and freely expressing their own opinions.

The event contributed to increasing students’ interest in reading and fostering their creative and critical thinking skills.
