Academic Council Holds Its AC-2025-014 Meeting at Uzbekistan State World Languages University

On 20 June 2024, the AC-2025-014 of the Academic Council of Uzbekistan State World Languages University was held at the University’s Academic Council Hall. The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the University, Professor Ilkhomjon Tuxtasinov. The meeting brought together members of the Academic Council to discuss a broad range of strategic and academic matters related to the university’s development. The agenda included reports from the Rector, Vice-Rectors, and faculty representatives, as well as issues concerning academic management, research, quality assurance, and institutional development.

Among the key issues considered were the approval of curriculum and programme amendments, adoption of the academic calendar for the forthcoming academic year, implementation of the university’s research development strategy, expansion of international cooperation and partnership agreements, and progress in institutional quality assurance and self-assessment activities. The Council also reviewed matters related to budget planning, infrastructure development, academic integrity, student affairs, library services, and faculty reports. Special attention was devoted to sustainability initiatives. The Academic Council approved measures aimed at integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into academic programmes, strengthening climate literacy across curricula, implementing the Green Campus Development and Carbon Reduction Strategy, improving water and waste management practices, enhancing participation in international sustainability rankings, and establishing an environmental risk management and sustainability reporting framework.

Following comprehensive discussions, the Academic Council adopted the relevant resolutions on all agenda items and outlined the priority directions for the university’s academic, research, internationalisation, and sustainable development activities for the forthcoming academic year.
