“An Athlete is a defender of the homeland”: Volleyball tournament begins among students at UzSWLU

On May 27, a university-wide volleyball championship kicked off among male students at the sports complex of Uzbekistan State World Languages University. The competition is held as part of Sports Month under the slogan “An Athlete is a Defender of the Homeland.”

In the preliminary rounds, faculty teams competed fiercely and relentlessly. As a result, the four strongest teams advanced to the final stage to compete for top honors.

The decisive matches scheduled for May 28 are as follows:
Third-place match: The Faculty of English Philology will face the Faculty of Oriental Philology.

Final match: The Faculty of International Journalism will compete against the Faculty of Translation Studies for the university champion title.

The main goal of the tournament is to promote physical activity among students, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and foster patriotism through sports.
