An Event Dedicated to the Birthdays of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur Was Held
On February 10, an event dedicated to the birthdays of the great scholars Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was held at the Uzbekistan State World Languages University. The event was opened by the Rector of the university, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, who spoke about the lives, scholarly activities, and creative heritage of the two great figures.
During the event, participants watched video presentations dedicated to the works of Navoi and Babur, enjoyed performances of ghazals and monologues, as well as national dances and songs. Among the guests was Uzoq Khaydarovich Juraqulov, who delivered a speech on the themes of science and practice, perseverance, and courage. Guests and faculty members also contributed to the event with speeches focused on creativity and spirituality.
In addition, a performance highlighting the works of Z.M. Babur was presented by M. Abduqunduzov, an actor of the State National Theatre of Uzbekistan. Throughout the event, musical performances were given by the VIA “Major” group and university tutors Anora and Bekzod. Students of the English Language Faculty No. 3 took part by performing Navoi’s ghazals and monologues, as well as a national dance.
The event was held in an atmosphere of high artistic quality with rich cultural and educational content. Students and faculty members became more closely acquainted with the legacy of the great creators and further strengthened their interest in national literature and art.
