An Expanded Departmental Scientific Discussion of the Dissertation Was Held

On March 12, an expanded departmental scientific discussion was held regarding the dissertation of Marks Komiljanovich Abdullayev, submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Philological Sciences in the specialty 10.00.06 – Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics and Translation Studies.

 

 

The dissertation is titled:
“Cognitive Features of Modern Slang: Through the Prism of Conceptual Metaphors and Mental Models (Based on the Materials of Spanish and Russian Languages)”.

The discussion was organized in both offline format and online via the ZOOM platform. Professors, teachers of the department, researchers and scholars participated in the event and expressed their opinions on the relevance, scientific novelty and practical significance of the dissertation research.

During the event, the theoretical and practical aspects of the dissertation were discussed, and the author provided detailed answers to the questions raised during the discussion. At the end of the discussion, relevant recommendations were given regarding the research work.
